Rihanna, pronounced, full name Robyn Rihanna Fenty (born in Saint Michael, Feb 20, 1988), she is a Barbadian singer, the first artist of her country to win a Grammy Award.

Rihanna debuted in 2005 with the album "Music of the Sun" and the hit single Pon de Replay, followed a year later by A Girl Like Me, SOS and Unfaithful and songs. In 2007 her consolidated reputation with "Good Girl Gone Bad" album, released in two different editions, and its singles, including "Umbrella", one of her best known songs. After a spell with an album sounding darker and more focused on R&B, "Rated R" released in 2009, the year after Rihanna returned to record songs from the style of dance pop for her fifth album, Loud. From its inception until today, Rihanna has sold 20 million albums and 60 million singles.

Childhood and beginnings

Rihanna was born in Barbados to Ronald Fenty, a warehouse a half Irish and half African-barbado, and Monica Fenty, a native of Guyana accounting, but half African-American. Rihanna is the eldest of three children her, and Rorrey Rajada. Rihanna childhood was profoundly marked by her father's cocaine addiction and her parents' divorce, which occurred when Rihanna was fourteen. Rihanna attended elementary school in Rihanna's hometown, at the Institute Charles F. Broome Memorial School. Rihanna later studied at the Combermere School, where her formed a musical trio with two of her classmates at the age of fifteen years. It was a cadet in a military program. Rihanna was trained by the military and Barbadian Shontelle was her sergeant.

In 2003 Rihanna and her group were presented to producer Evan Rogers, who spent his holidays in Barbados with her wife. While Rogers attended the hearing of the trio, said that "When Rihanna was moving in the room, the other two girls as if they had never existed." The band performed with the single of Destiny's Child Emotions . The following year, she went with her mother in Stamford in Connecticut to reach the house of Rogers. Between May and June 2007, provided for Def Jam Records, Rihanna released her third album of unreleased, Good Girl Gone Bad. Since September 12, 2007 the singer has taken around the world the Good Girl Gone Bad Tour, recorded and released on DVD in the new edition published in the June 2008 album, Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded, which also contains three new unpublished Take a Bow, If I Never See Your Face Again and Disturbia. The new edition has been brought forward by Take a Bow, danced by the great success of sales in several countries.

In the following months, the album was promoted as a single track from the If I Never See Your Face Again, a duet with Maroon 5, Disturbia, Live Your Life, a duet with TI and Rehab, Rihanna collaboration with Justin Timberlake.

Rihanna fifth studio album, Loud, was released November 16, 2010 and debuted at the third position of the U.S. Billboard chart, selling 207,000 copies in its first week. The single launch, Only Girl (In The World) , was published in the United States and around the world in September 2010. After several weeks, the song has enjoyed considerable success in several countries, obtaining the highest positions in many charts. The second single is What's My Name, Collaboration with Drake, released digitally October 29, 2010 pending the album's release, the song reached the top position of ranking first in the previous U.S. Only Girl (In the World).
